What are Cookies?
1. What is an HTTP Cookie?
A cookie is information stored on a personal computer when you browse a website. Cookies usually store settings such as language or address. Later, when you reopen the same website, the browser sends back the cookies that belong to that site, so the experience can match your preferences.
On insignum.hr, cookies typically store technical data and settings needed for the site to work (e.g. language, cart, saved preferences) — not your name or e-mail, unless you enter them in a form or register. The website cannot access data you have not provided or other files on your device. When you visit the site, an additional popup or bar may appear so you can manage cookie consent; you can also control cookies in your browser settings (allow, deny, delete on close, etc.).
2. How do I disable cookies?
Disabling cookies prevents them from being stored on your device. Cookie settings can be controlled in your browser.

If you disable cookies, some website features (e.g. cart or login) may not work.
On insignum.hr you can also manage consent via the popup or bar shown when you visit the site (category controls). Necessary cookies remain always active because they are required for the site to function.
3. What are session cookies?
Session cookies are removed after you close the browser. Websites use them to store temporary data.
4. What are persistent cookies?
Persistent cookies remain after you close the browser. They help the site remember preferences. They may last days, months or years depending on settings.
5. What are first-party cookies?
First-party cookies come from the website you are visiting. They may be session or persistent and help the site work on return visits.
6. What are third-party cookies?
Third-party cookies come from other domains (e.g. form-protection or embedded tools). Those providers may process technical data needed for that service.
7. Does Insignum.hr use cookies?
Yes. We use cookies so the website and shop work properly: language preference, cart/session, cookie consent management, and spam protection on forms. Some cookies are also used for basic order-related traffic attribution (WooCommerce), where consent is required.
We do not use advertising-network cookies (e.g. Meta/Facebook Pixel) or Google Analytics on this website.
8. What cookies does Insignum.hr use and why?
Cookies are grouped into categories (shown in the consent popup or bar when you visit the site):
Necessary — always active; required for the site (stored cookie consent choices, WooCommerce cart/session, WordPress login test cookie, Google reCAPTCHA for form protection).
Functional — e.g. insignum_lang for the selected language (HR/EN).
Analytics — WooCommerce Order Attribution / Sourcebuster cookies (sbjs_*) used to record traffic source for order attribution; set with consent.
Advertisement, Performance and Other — currently no active cookies in these categories.

9. Are there third-party cookies on Insignum.hr?
Yes, in a limited scope:
• Google reCAPTCHA — _GRECAPTCHA cookie for spam protection on contact / pickup forms.
• Other listed cookies (consent storage, WooCommerce, language) are mostly first-party cookies on insignum.hr.
We currently do not use Google Analytics.
Server logs and hosting statistics (e.g. Awstats) are not browser cookies and are not managed via the consent popup. See Privacy Statement, section 6.
